7:45 PM - 9:15 PMPart 1: Temple Judea
What is Jewish Music? Have you ever wondered how the music for synagogue services is chosen?
Dinner & presentation: From Kabbalat Shabbat to the High Holy Days, every melody has meaning and intention behind it. What makes music Jewish—and what doesn’t? How do we decide what belongs in a particular service, and what feels out of place?
Join us for an evening of discovery and discussion as we explore the sounds that shape our spiritual life. Bring your favorite (and maybe your least favorite!) pieces of Jewish music as we dive into our rich and ever-evolving musical heritage.
Led by Rabbi Cantor Wissot and featuring performances by our Cantors-in-Training, and Choir members, this intimate dinner program promises to be both enlightening and deeply personal.
Space is limited to 50 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early!
