What happens when we feel overwhelmed, our worlds spinning out of control? How can we write if it feels too much, too constant, too difficult?
Inspired by the work of Dr. James W. Pennebaker, author Jennifer Lang will lead a workshop on Writing to Heal, putting our emotions into words, especially at times when words fail us.
Through writing exercises--freewrite and epistolary and lists--we will explore Expressive Writing and strive to write our emotions.
Pen and paper provided; please bring your laptop if difficult to write by hand.
This workshop is free, but registration is required below. Please add the name of all who will be attending in the notes field below. Thank you!
