Madrichim Interest Form

What is a Madrich(a)?

The Madrichim Program is Temple Judea’s volunteer teacher’s assistant program for our Religious School. Students in grades 9-12 are paired with a teacher for the year to aid them in classroom activities. As a Madrich(a), you will forge a meaningful relationship with your assigned teacher, and the students in the classroom. This is a rewarding experience that allows you to learn and grow as leaders in a classroom setting and in our Temple Judea community.

The Madrichim Program counts as community service hours that many students need for school. The program runs on Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons, and you can participate on either day or both days. We require that participants commit to all Sunday or Tuesday Religious School sessions. Each student can miss up to three sessions per year and still be eligible to receive service hours.

The Madrichim program focuses on enhancing interpersonal skills, working in a team setting, fostering personal responsibility, interacting with students in a positive way, and being a strong Jewish role model in our religious school and throughout Temple Judea. Teens that are looking to develop these skills, and are excited about helping out in a classroom are sure to have a meaningful experience that will stay with them for years to come. The cost to be in the Madrichim Program is $400.
