Did you ever wonder what happened to Motel and Tzeitel when they left Anatevka?

They came to America! In 1909, a young couple, very much like them, comes to taste freedom and find opportunity. They start out in a tenement, working miserable hours in a sweatshop. They struggle, they encounter people who hate immigrants; they almost lose everything, including their relationship and their baby. But through love and ingenuity, a belief in America, and help from an assortment of friends (including an Irish union leader and a Romani fortune-teller) they prosper and thrive in the new land.
