Youth & Family Yom Kippur Experience
A meaningful experience for the younger set!
Saturday, October 12 @ 10am at Temple Judea

THIS EVENT IS AT CAPACITY. WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ANY ADDITIONAL REGISTRATIONS.

Join other Temple Judea families with young children for our 3rd Youth & Family Yom Kippur Experience.

This Yom Kippur observance is designed for children ages 9 and younger. We encourage families with children who are older to join in the Yom Kippur services in the Goor Sanctuary.

About the Day:

We'll begin at 10am. Please note: Temple Judea's north parking lot is for members only and will likely be full due to the 9am services in the Goor Sanctuary. If so, overflow parking is available on the street, or at St. Paul's United Methodist Church (on the corner of Lindley Ave. and Burbank Blvd.).

At 10:00am, all adults and children will gather together in the Social Hall for an opening intention setting and singing with Rabbi Rosenstein,.

At 10:20, children 6 and younger - plus their adult(s) - will head into the courtyard and classroom area for an adventure through Yom Kippur led by members of our Religious School and ECC education team. NOTE:  Some of the experiential activities for the younger students use markers, crayons, water, etc., so please dress accordingly.

At 10:20, children 6 and older - and their adult(s) will stay in the Social Hall for a continued, age-appropriate Yom Kippur service. We'll sing, pray & reflect, and unroll the Torah, while sharing blessings for a fresh start in our New Year.

At 11:20, we'll all gather back in the courtyard for a community shofar blast to mark this Holy Day season. We look forward to marking this important day in the Jewish calendar with you all.
